Listed below are some resources for Minnesota Veterans:

  • Programs that help Minnesota Soldiers and their Families (March 2013 edition)
    • This excellent document is published monthy by Minnesota Army Reserve Ambassador's Tom Haugo and Jim Lundell. If you can't find it here, it doesn't exist.
  • MnSCU - Resources for veterans and service members
    • The Minnesota State Colleges & Universities (MnSCU) provides veteran- and service member-oriented information, interactive military-to-college tools, access to military-friendly services and help.
  • DEED - Veterans Employment Services
    • The MN Dept. of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) provides specialized staff and employment services to help all Minnesota military veterans – including those in the National Guard and Reserves - prepare for, find, and keep a job, no matter their era of service. Veterans employment representatives are located at WorkForce Centers statewide to guide veterans. We also work closely with employers to develop job opportunities for veterans and to advocate on their behalf.
  • Retiree Activity Offices
    • Retiree activities offices are made up of volunteers from all services including surviving spouses. Their charter is to coordinate, establish and staff an office on an active-duty, reserve or guard base through command channels that will assist retirees with myriad actions. These actions include: serving as an information center for space-available travel, Tricare, base services, etc; offering referrals for financial-assistance and pay matters; counseling active-duty Airmen nearing retirement; and providing literature on retirement issues.   • MDVA - Veterans Linkage Line
    • The MN Dept. of Veterans Affairs (MDVA) offers the Veterans Linkage Line. Search on-line for answers to questions, or call and talk to someone live.
